The internet seems to have gone crazy with videos across social media comparing luxury perfume Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian to Cloud by Ariana Grande. It’s no surprise Instagram, TikTok, Youtube and Twitter have all blown up over the comparison. Baccarat Rouge 540 retails for £215 for 70ml which works out to be around £3.07 per ml. However, Cloud is £25 for 30ml which is £0.83 per ml. That means you can make a whopping saving of £2.24 per ml.
I am here to tell you that Ariana Grande Cloud perfume is an exact dupe for Baccarat 540. I really argued this with myself for over a year but it’s the same shit.— Viral Toes (@britneychanel0x) October 2, 2020
We’ve broken down and compared the notes for both fragrances – as well as give our verdict on if this is a true dupe.
Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian
Baccarat Rouge 540 is an eau de parfum born from the encounter between Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Baccarat, as a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the iconic crystal house. The unique oriental floral fragrance is suitable for both men and women, it lays on the skin like a floral and woody breeze.
- Fir Resin
Cloud by Ariana Grande
The Cloud perfume is joyful with a dreamy bottle design which is unique compared to Ariana’s existing fragrances. Just like Baccarat Rouge 540 it is a very sweet scent which might make it better suited to those who are younger. If you prefer a more mature scent this might not be the best option for you.
Popstar Grande says:
I love the peaceful beauty of clouds – they are both magical and comforting at the same time. I wanted to create this amazing feeling of hope and happiness, and share it with my fans everywhere. That’s what CLOUD is for me – a beautiful, optimistic scent to give love and comfort to anyone that sprays it.
According to the notes, it seems Grande’s fragrance may be more complex compared to Baccarat Rouge 540.

Baccarat Rouge 540 Vs Cloud Reviews
Are you after a super detailed in-depth review? No worries we’ve collated some for you.
While the notes may look different between both fragrances we can confirm they smell very similar. Admittedly they do dry down slightly differently with Cloud smelling a touch sweeter but it is a very minor variation between both perfumes. Some fans even claim that Cloud has much longer staying power with Baccarat Rouge 540 only lasting 4 hours allegedly.
Based on the whopping price difference it seems a no brainer that Ari’s Cloud perfume wins this battle.
